12 Years Experience

We’ve been up and running for over a decade.

Your journey kicks off at Dunboyne Castle Hotel at 2:00 PM. (We highly recommend booking an airport transfer for your convenience.) Your first destination is Malahide Castle, an ancient edifice dating back to 1185, brimming with medieval treasures. You'll also have the chance to savor a welcome drink with your fellow travelers before an evening meal at the hotel.
Explore the prestigious Irish National Stud in Kildare, a central hub of Irish horse racing and the residence of some of the globe's most exceptional thoroughbred horses. Stroll through the captivating gardens before proceeding to Kilkenny, where a delightful lunch awaits at the Kilkenny Design Centre. Accompanied by a local guide, embark on a walking tour to discover the hidden treasures along the Medieval Mile – a historic path through the city's streets, featuring structures that trace their origins back to the 13th century. Your evening is open for personal exploration and dining as you desire.
Explore the House of Waterford Crystal, a valued partner of CIE Tours, and witness masterful artisans in action as they craft exquisite crystal creations during a factory tour. Following this, accompany a local guide on a walking tour of Waterford, Ireland's oldest port city, delving into its rich history and the fascinating characters that shaped it. You'll also have the freedom to explore the city at your own pace. Next, venture to New Ross and uncover the compelling story of the Dunbrody Famine Ship, an authentic replica of a vessel that, during the 1840s, carried desperate emigrants seeking refuge from the Irish famine to new beginnings in North America.
Journey south to Cobh, the Titanic's final port of call, where numerous sites linked to the famous liner's voyage remain. Explore the Cobh Heritage Centre, which offers insights into the extensive history of Irish emigration to North America over many centuries. Continue your adventure at Blarney Castle, where you can embrace the tradition of kissing the renowned stone or take a leisurely walk through the expansive parklands to admire Blarney House. Your travels then lead you to Killarney.
Explore Moriarty's, a preferred shopping partner of CIE Tours, located in the stunning Gap of Dunloe. Then, embark on a delightful journey through the scenic Dingle Peninsula, driving along its southern shore to marvel at the heath-covered mountains, sandy beaches, and rugged headlands. Make a stop at the South Pole Inn, where you can delve into the legacy of Tom Crean, an intrepid Irish explorer who ventured to the South Pole. Enjoy some leisure time in the town of Dingle, savor a drink, and experience a delightful dinner with entertainment at Foley's Bar and Restaurant before returning to Killarney.
Commence your journey with a scenic ferry crossing over the River Shannon, followed by a drive to the awe-inspiring Cliffs of Moher, which majestically rise 700 feet above the tumultuous Atlantic waters. Take a leisurely walk atop the cliffs, where, on clear days, you can revel in magnificent vistas of Galway Bay and the enchanting Aran Islands. Immerse yourself in the charm of rural life at a traditional farm, where a skilled farmer showcases the art of sheepdog herding. Savor a delightful break with tea and homemade scones at the farm. Conclude the day with a panoramic tour of Galway, exploring the vibrant city's highlights.
Embark on a ferry journey that will carry you across the picturesque Galway Bay, leading to Inishmore, the most extensive of the three Aran Islands. Here, the resilient islanders continue to converse in the Irish language and uphold age-old fishing and farming practices. Your exploration takes you to Dun Aengus, a massive prehistoric stronghold dramatically situated on steep cliffs overlooking the Atlantic. Afterward, enjoy a relaxed lunch in Kilronan, the primary village on the island, and seize the opportunity to wander and discover its charms. Finally, return via ferry to your starting point.
Explore Clonmacnoise, a monastic community with origins dating back to 545 AD, located on the picturesque banks of the River Shannon. Here, you can admire the intricate High Celtic crosses adorned with biblical narratives, and wander through the various church ruins and two round towers.  Proceed to the nearby town of Athlone, where you'll make a stop at Sean's Bar for a delightful Irish coffee. This establishment boasts a well-documented history that traces all the way back to 900 AD and holds the distinction of being recognized in the Guinness Book of Records as the oldest pub in Europe. During renovations in 1970, archaeologists uncovered ancient walls and centuries-old coins. In the evening, make your way to the Abbey Tavern in Dublin for an authentic Irish dinner accompanied by a vibrant live performance.

Your tour concludes after breakfast.
