Afterward, you'll have the opportunity to wander at your leisure before reuniting for a welcome beverage and dinner with your fellow travelers. (D) 
Embark on a guided walking excursion of Venice, renowned as the most serene of cities. Explore its splendid architecture, picturesque bridges, and enchanting canals with a knowledgeable local guide. Explore the awe-inspiring Doge’s Palace and the celebrated Piazza and Basilica of San Marco. Traverse the canals and capture the city's essence from the perspective of a gondola ride. In the evening, relish a night of self-guided dining and personal exploration. 
Board a private group water taxi at your hotel and continue your Italy tour journey to Florence by coach. Next stop on your Italy tour, the Eternal City – Rome. En route, take a break in the picturesque hill town of Orvieto and relish a delightful tasting of its celebrated local wine. Explore the Colosseum, an iconic structure from imperial Rome constructed between 72 and 80 AD. This engineering marvel could accommodate up to 80,000 spectators for gladiator contests and dramatic performances. (Please be aware that on certain departures, the Colosseum visit may be rescheduled to day 6.) Visualize the echoes of the Caesars as you wander through the remains of the Forum, the ancient core of the Roman Empire. Your overnight accommodation is in Rome's historic center. 
Enjoy a leisurely morning exploring Rome on your own as you have some free time for independent discovery. In the afternoon, embark on a guided tour of the Vatican Museums, which includes access to the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica. (Please be aware that the Vatican occasionally closes the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica, so visits are subject to their availability.)
