On the mountain's summit, Saint Patrick is said to have observed a forty-day fast in 441 AD, a tradition that has been passed down from one generation to the next. Your overnight stay in Mayo includes dinner and breakfast. 
Head back to Dublin for the final day of your journey, with a visit to Clonmacnoise Monastery, situated along the banks of the River Shannon. This ancient monastery, established by St. Ciaran in 545 AD, holds historical significance. Afterward, continue your drive to Dublin city and make the most of your last day exploring the capital before you prepare for the journey back home.
